Action Reel

A hotheaded teen wants to be a superhero and gains inhuman strength from a whilom spirit, her family needs her help, but she denies her namesake and unless she accepts the truth, they'll all perish.

In this fighting scene, the director and I worked on merging street fighting and martial arts style movement to create realistic and unique quality of action. It's always fun to see how many visions become one when the product is edited. My favorite part about collaborating with directors on action films is to translate their visual descriptions into kinesthetic experience. Enjoy!

Two warriors are teleported by unseen forces to battle each other using swords and ki energy. An original short film I created then later modified into a Shaw Brothers style Kung Fu film opening.
